Job fair, great interview, had "conditional offer" by end of day, had "formal offer letter" 3 days later including a start date, a pay scale, a supervisor, AND the audacity to ask if i had anything "pending" out there as far as applications or interviews that would slow down my ability to accept their offer...only to have it ALL be contingent upon a background check they have yet to run on you, nor tell you what would prevent you from getting the job, a bunch of automated email messages that sound like real people but they're not so you can't get any direction. Extremely cumbersome. By far, the absolute WORST hiring experience I've ever been a part of, completely backwards way of doing things and from such a large, prestigious organization that has been around for a very long time to be doing this to people. I used to think highly of this organization, not anymore.
