4 stages, including an assessment (performing a pitch and data analysis). Aside from the recruitment team, the interviewers were great. Informative, considerate and, impressive in their interviewing questions & techniques. Unfortunately the process itself and the recruiting team were at the opposite end of the scale. From not turning up to the initial screening call, to rearranging every interview multiple times - this included a bombardment of calls, texts and emails over a weekend, and slightly manipulative behaviour: "we have others that we're at final stage with so if you're not able to change your schedule then you're going to most likely be negatively affected". I also never received feedback after interviews, I'd have to ask multiple times about who would be in my next interview, how long it would be etc. All in all, a really negative experience throughout.
I've been in the industry for 15 years, and I've seen this kind of behaviour before, so I know very well that it is common, but its certainly not ok. Many are adapting their ways, and are fast being known as the better companies to work for. I continued with interviews, not wanting to let the recruiting team tarnish my thoughts on the company and teams, but before the final stage I learnt otherwise from contacts that work/worked there. In hindsight I should have just declined the final stage and not wasted my time and energy, but I also didn't want this to affect my own reputation. Hopefully others don't have the same experience, but if you've read this far, please do your research on the (real) culture within any company, a toxic working environment is never worth anything you think you might get out of your next career move.
