      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Publicis Sapient in May 2026

      Interview

Sapient Interview Experience (Very Long & Unclear Hiring Process) I had a very disappointing interview experience with Sapient due to the extremely lengthy and confusing hiring process. Round 1: Online Assessment – Cleared. Round 2: 1.5-hour Technical Interview – Cleared. After that, the HR informed me that I was being considered for a Tesco project and scheduled another 1.5-hour coding/implementation round focused on designing and implementing a senior-level e-commerce application. I cleared this round as well. Later, I was informed that the Tesco project was on hold, but there was another project available. HR said there would be one final technical interview, and after clearing it, I would receive an offer. I attended this interview, which lasted around 2.5 hours, and it went well. After that, HR again contacted me and said there would be two more technical interviews. I asked a simple question: "Do you actually have an open position, or are you just conducting interviews?" I was assured that the openings were genuine and that an offer would be released after clearing these rounds. I scheduled the next interviews, but before they happened, HR called again and asked me to take another online assessment from the beginning. At this point, I had already invested significant time: 1 Online Assessment 4 Technical/Coding Interviews More than 7 hours of interviews, along with preparation time. Restarting the entire process with another online assessment made no sense. It gave me the impression that the company was maintaining a candidate pool rather than hiring for an active requirement. I understand that business priorities and client projects can change, but candidates also invest a lot of time and effort. A hiring process should be transparent, respectful, and well-organized. Rating: 1/5 Suggestion to Sapient: Please don't ask candidates to go through multiple rounds unless there is a confirmed hiring requirement. If a project gets canceled or put on hold, communicate it honestly instead of repeatedly extending the interview process. Respect the candidate's time and effort.
