I applied online. I interviewed at Publix (South Daytona, FL) in Sep 2019
Interview
I met with 2 seperate store managers since I had to train in one of the stores while awaiting Grand Opening for my store.
Very nice interview process. Both men I met with were extremely easy to talk to. Asked why I wanted to work for Publix. and just general questions. I am an adult so I have had previous experience.
They are people too.... don't be nervous.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Asked why I wanted to work for Publix, a bit about my last job, about what I could bring to Publix besides my sparkling personality. They were happy and very easy to speak with. None of the weird "what is your weakness" or "your strength" questions. We all have both those so don't worry. Be polite and show you care about the store and the customers. They are who pay you.
it went as expected as any regular interview with a supermarket should go, but honestly I don't remember too much of the interview process... am I at 30 words yet
Relatively simple interview, since a lot of their hires are still in school. They had a notable focus on asking shout customer service and having a kind attitude. I interviewed back in 2016, so this may be outdated--but likely isn't.
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Publix (Jacksonville, FL) in Mar 2024
Interview
The interview was with the general manager. He reviewed my work history. He asked a few questions about my experience and career goals. After our discussion, he offered the full time job to me.
