I applied in-person. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Publix (Richmond, VA) in Mar 2020
Interview
Interviewer didnt really cover all of my experience that could have contributed to a higher entry pay. Making matters worse, amt/hr promised was not same as was paid. There is nothing in writing so always check that actual pay rate is same as promised at interview.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What is my fav food to cook - vs how many years of exp or education or etc etc. Dingbat.
Relaxed one on one interview process. They want to know why want to work at Publix, how you will handle angry customers, and what your weekly shift availbility is. They prioritize candidates who can work busy retail hours, such as weekends, late evenings, and early mornings.
Get asked about yourself, your goals, how you approach providing premiere customer service. They also ask what you availability is like. I thought it would be more nerve racking than it was.
