Qualtrics Language Data Specialist interview questions

I was approached by a recruiter through LinkedIn and scheduled a first 30 minute call. I already asked whether the position was open in my area as well, but didn't get a response. I prepared for the call and kept my schedule open, but in the first minute the recruiter told me the position was open in my area, but not anymore, so that was it. He could have saved me time and energy and inform me about this through LinkedIn.
