People are really making this process harder than it is, it's not rocket science...
Part-time clerk process:
1. Apply online or in person a division office
2. If you are called for an interview, you will complete a math "test"
3. I put test in parentheses because it's a joke, it's 10 questions verifying whether you can ADD and SUBTRACT (nothing more, nothing less). You are provided scratch paper and a pen.
4. Once you pass the test, you may have an interview that day or they will schedule you one for another day of they are booked. So don't come in looking crazy, be interview ready.
5. The interview: a piece of cake. My interview was more like a conversation, the interview asked me a few questions about myself & QT (that was it).
6. I received a conditional job offer upon my background coming back clear. Also received a drink coupon.
7. I received a call two days later to come back to the division office, to complete orientation (3-4 hour session).
There you have it folks the basic interview process don't over think it, be yourself as well. I've been working for a little less than a month and its fine. Obviously not the most glamorous job ... You will work, you will take our trash, you will clean bathrooms, you will work in the kitchen. If that doesn't sound like something you can handle, then DON'T apply and allow someone else who needs the job and wants to work to have your spot. Also as far as store placement, hours, and where you will work ... they WILL work with you. I was able to keep my other job and both my schedules coincide, just be upfront about your availability. I was placed at a store that's 10 minutes away from my house. The furthest that they will place you is 30 minutes away.
However for training you will have to travel to a store that may be out of that 30 minute range I mentioned. All QT's are not training stores, so you will have to travel to the closest training store to train.
