      Lead UI/UX Designer Interview

      May 31, 2024
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Qventus in May 2024

      Interview

The conversation I had with HR during the interview screen was overwhelmingly positive. After speaking with them, I really felt great about the role and it appeared to be a great fit. It took a couple of weeks, and then I was contacted to schedule an interview with the hiring manager. Speaking with the hiring manager was a total train wreck. There was an obvious disconnect between the job description that was posted, what the recruiter told me the job was, and what the hiring manager was looking for. I generally prefer directness when speaking in interviews but it was borderline rude. The conversation felt like he was trying to talk me out of the job. Well I can say he was successful in that. I left that conversation feeling fairly embarrassed and sure I didn't want to work there.

      Question 1

Wanted me to talk about a past job experience that wasn't relevant to their industry.
