The interview has 3 stages. When you successfully pass a stage, they will email you your result and instructions for the next stage.
Stage 1: Apply online, submit your resume
Stage 2: Complete a test assessment. There are about 100 questions about yourself and kind of a memory test.
Stage 3: On Demand Video interview. This will be done via Montage. You will record yourself answering the questions. There are 6 questions. You have about 1:30 - 2:00 minutes to read the questions and prepare, 2:00 minutes to answer each question.
- Tell us about yourself and why you're and interested in this opportunity. (Highlight what they should know about you as they consider you for the Career Launch Program)
- Tell us about a time when you deliberately went above and beyond of what was expected and exceeded the expectations of a customers, manager or teacher. What motivated you to act this way?
- Describe a situation that led you to grow as a person.
- Tell us about a time you went through a difficult change or transition and how you dealt with it.
- Tell us about a time you solved a problem in a unique or innovative way. How did you come up with the solution? What made it unique?
- How do you express and foster your personal creativity?
Stage 4: In-person panel assessment. You will be in a room with about 20 other candidates. There are 4 HR persons who will ask questions and evaluate you. The stage has 4 steps, each step you have to change the table and work with different group of people.
- Step 1 (2 minutes): Talk with the person next to you then introduce them to the room. Tell others why RBC should hire this person.
- Step 2 (3 minutes to prepare - 1:30 minutes to present): Receive from HR person a picture of a random product. With the new team, present to sell said product to the room (should include features, benefits, price, etc.)
- Step 3 (10 minutes to prepare - 3 minutes to present): In a scenario, your group has $500. In an afternoon, how will you use the money to make a impact on society? Present to the room your plan (should include problem, solution, cost, impact, etc.)
- Step 4 (1 minutes): Answer one last question about yourself. They can change this. Mine was "Tell us about a situation that made you become more resilient".
The amount of time you have to prepare before answering may vary since I don't recall exactly. To me it was a difficult interview but it felt very professional. I enjoyed thinking about the questions they asked.
I wish you all the best. Be confident and excited for what's coming.
