There was an hour long interview with the hiring manager. He explained the job requirements and then asked general questions about my programming skills and statistical knowledge. Then there was another interview with VP of the team

It was a fairly straightforward process, and similar to most interviews. Initial conversation with the recruiter; meeting with the hiring manager; salary negotiation and negotiating start date.
