I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at RBC (Weaverville, NC) in Oct 2008
Interview
The interview was fairly relaxed, and the interviewer was very nice and friendly. She did ask me an illegal question ("Are you married?"), which really threw me off. I think that they need to train their staff better for interviewing. Otherwise, I was impressed and the job was a good one. I kind of wish I had taken it now. The culture seemed to be good-- hard workers but friendly and fairly relaxed.
Based on my understanding, the process usually begins with an online application, followed by an initial screening interview. For client-facing roles, the interviews mainly focus on behavioural and situational questions, such as customer service, communication, and problem-solving.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at RBC (Vaughan, ON) in Jul 2025
Interview
Absolutely amazing. Very friendly manager that interviewed me. I had lots of questions about the bank teller job and the manager answered all my questions and was super nice. We had a wonderful conversation about all the teller duties and all the hours and schedules for the job.
Interview process is fairly normal. You get a call from a recruiter that’s 10-15 minutes long. And then 40 minute interview about your experience and interest. Basic questions were asked. You should be prepared to know the value and examples that you faced that can help with future problems you might encounter
