First video screening by an average recruiter of 15 mins. Then first technical round (Senior IAM Engineer) regarding basic Java, conditional operators, SQL query (group by, order by), normalisation.
Second technical round with 2 people of the team regarding system design on a bank application error and troubleshooting, Waterfall model, live coding in notepad or IDE. Pretty easy, used whiteboard for system design and best optimised code in Notepad, aced the interview asked for 95000$ CAD base (Toronto). They were speechless, if you don't have enough budget then don't take multiple technical rounds idiots and ask salary before technical round. They knew I was more than qualified for this job. Anyways they offered 60000$ base which is below average of 90000$ CAD. They said we'll get back to you with revised offer and never head back I guess HR didn't want to accept his mistake. Team size was=5, work consisted of 50% development (JS) & 30% ServiceNow development, and 20% IAM stuffs.
My suggestion is know your market value don't accept offers below average base in your job area, banking companies work on legacy apps & outdated technologies, practice everyday for interviews. Tell them clearly if number of technical round increases then your base expectations increases.
