I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at RBC in Nov 2021
Interview
I spent over three months working through a potential transition to this company that would accommodate the timing of my bonus at my current company, as well as give time to RBC to revamp the position they were hiring for to meet my pay and bonus needs. We progressively move through three levels of interviews, all very positive, and they made it clear I was the hiring candidate. When the position could not be revamped at a higher pay, they actually created a new position for me that would meet my needs and align with my experience. However, once they posted this new position online, apparently another candidate came along who was willing to go into the office (I requested full time remote) and be hired for less money. They completely ghosted me and I couldn’t get an answer about where we were in the process until I emailed a supervisor. The recruiter never had the decency to call me back to let me know they were going with another candidate even though we had been in consistent contact for over three months. I’ll never apply here again.
