I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at RBC (Toronto, ON) in Jun 2022
Interview
I was contacted by Hiring Manager (Director) directly for a 30-minute phone screen interview.
We had broad range of discussion about work experiences listed in my resume and role I was being considered for.
I was then advised that he will phone screen another candidates for another 1.5 weeks and reach out to me with an update for next steps if any.
I didn't get an update from hiring manager and my follow-up emails also went unanswered which I found to be very unprofessional and disappointing from a bank like RBC.
If they expect candidates to read job description, apply for roles and make time to attend the interview (however short it is), they should atleast notify candidates who were unsuccessful as a courtesy.
