RBC Marketing Administrator interview questions

The process on the recruitment end was pretty straight forward. I applied, then received an email from a recruiter asking for my transcript and marketing samples of my work. Then I got a video interview with a Director and VP--IIRC. After the initial interview at the start of the week, I was told that I would receive a response end of week or beginning of next week and that there would be a second round where I would have to make a presentation, given I reached the next step. I waited until the end of the next week, then asked for an update because I needed my gd answer. I was told by the VP/Director(?) idk that something 'urgent' came up (more ppl to interview probably) and I should wait until next week. Then after 2.5 weeks I was called (didn't answer), then I got an email saying I wasn't chosen because they went with a candidate with direct experience in commercial real estate and that they also wanted me to know a bit more background on some of their existing website and content as feedback. Knowing more background was fair enough--but now that I think of it they barely asked me anything about their content in an actual question. More importantly, choosing someone with direct experience just felt bogus since I couldn't get the chance to showcase my skills in the next round to get that opportunity to get that experience in the first place. Mind you, I have relevant experience from my background, but it just wasn't in commercial real estate. It also felt like they didn't even bother with a next round and they just chose the person with the way the response was framed. They even told me that I was 1 of the 8 interviewed out of 130 something which doesn't make a difference in my book cause I didn't get the job. I'm not sure if this was supposed to be consoling as I've been 1 of 20 in 800 candidates and even 1 of 80 in 2500 for different roles I've had. I don't know how I would have taken this over the phone tbh! My bottom line is that the entire process felt drawn out, unfair and honestly unprofessional. But I think I've evaded he'll in a handcart with the work I would probably have to do.
