I sent three separate documents explaining my current status. It was literally the first sentence in each and every one of them. The HR staff apparently must have not read any of it, because they immediately cancelled the interview before it even started once they had a proper look at my file. They could have at least reimbursed the train fare. Since there was technically no interview held, I can't say it was a positive or negative experience. Nevertheless, the overall lack of proper preparation is a little disconcerting.
