I was asked for an interview from my LinkedIn, I was told that my profile was sent to the legal director. We spoke on the phone a few times and she was fantastic although my experience with their human resources was a different story. I was given an offer letter before they even consulted the director I interviewed with.
After a few days of the offer, the director confirmed that she would like to take me on and then I spoke with the HR again and I told them that I need a 2 days to think about it. I also shared that I got a raise and more work at my current job so I asked if they have wiggle room for their comp.
Big mistake.
Their HR director proceeded to lecture me for an hour about how “money will come.” .. last time I checked my professional endeavors and standards are my own choice. Needless to say, this did not work out. I did receive an apology with whom I interviewed with. This is why I have respect for RIVA.
It’s clearly a great company, be careful when dealing with HR and salary negotiation.
