It was a shocking and archaic interview process, wearing and not fit for purpose, and seen as a "fixed" outcome which I was unnecessarily painfully put through for 3 hours. Talk about agile and targeted, it was completely opposite. There was no candidate expectation of the interview style. For a candidate with more experience in the field than anyone in that room or being spoken to or by, it was a disrespectful and discouraging process and on the contrary to the values talked about. . The first interview is engaging with the right people, the right level of questions with purpose, the second interview was lengthy, random and untargeted set of questions from all directions. When someone has expertise for over 20 years, is this the way a candidate interview experience be handled ? not in this day and age. Clearly the interview process is outdated and improper and not fit for purpose. And then for Rackspace to say they bring in people at a lower price to perform at a higher level is so bias and negative, non-diverse and outrageous in an organization where is a complex structure, organisational chaos seeing no signs of inspirational direction and leadership. By the end of the second interview, I was completely turned me off about the organization and in particular appalled to see today exist backward HR practices in the U.K for a leading cloud solution provider. Rackspace Hayes would benefit from a highly modernized HR talent team with progressive insights and practices to remain competitive. Unfortunately, my perception and views about Rackspace has changed.
