I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Raconteur (Bangor, Gwynedd, Wales) in Sep 2020
Interview
I was contacted by the Head of Talent & Inclusion and invited to give times that I would be available for a phone interview. I then got no reply from the company for a week, despite chasing them up. When a phone interview was eventually scheduled, the interviewer missed the appointment.
I had given up hope of hearing back from them when I got a call out of the blue. I ended up having the interview there and then. Unfortunately, I had just left for long weekend away, so the interview was conducted with me standing on a windy mountainside with very poor phone reception.
I was left feeling that my time had been wasted and my application not taken seriously.

Generally a very easy process without any difficulty. In the end if everyone finds it easy it is down to your skill, likeability and experience. They chose another candidate over me as I did not have the relevant 360 sales experience which makes complete sense.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Raconteur in Dec 2020
Interview
One short call with a HR representative to check my understanding of the role, a 45-minute call with the HR rep and a digital editor, and a final hour-long panel interview with 5 key staff, in which I had to make a short presentation and turn in an editing task. The communication around the interviews was really clear and helpful, and the timings they gave me for when I would hear about each stage were kept to. Interviewers were friendly and positive, and the questions asked reflected that they were looking to invest long-term in a candidate. Overall a really positive interview experience that reflected well on the company.
