I applied at a one stop career center and got a phone call two weeks later. Showed up with about 25 other people at 9am. At around 9:30am they called us into a classroom where we watched a video tour of the plant, given a summary of the job and the rest of the process should we be hired. Everyone walks out, then one by one you go in for an interview which is very short (2-3 minutes tops). If you have a physical body, you will have a job. Young, old, frail, they will find a spot for you. Some departments (such as debone) have very high turnover, new people coming in every couple of days. Don't expect any SAR type questions, it's all very related to the work you'll be doing. After you accept, you'll have two days of orientation. They're long and boring, but you are paid for the time.
