Interview

I had a phone interview where we kind of made sure my skill set and outlook matched what the company was looking for. I then had a 2 hr on-site interview where I interviewed with my department head, a hiring manager, and an unbiased third party to see if I would be a cultural match. They had me prepare a training and train them on it and then asked a lot of questions to gauge my expertise. Everybody was very positive and it was a pleasant experience.

Interview

Briefly spoke with a recruiter who then wanted me to come on site for 3 more rounds of interviews. The direct managers seemed like they were a little clueless about how to conduct an interview. They asked about salary expectations during the interview and continued to press on me until I told them my expectations. I was completely ghosted after that. It seems that they are trying to find talent on the cheap and not interested in paying people what they are worth.

I had two 30 minute interviews with recruiters. The last recruiter told me I would be moving on in the interview process and she would set up an interview with the hiring manager. She even gave me a list of items to cover in the interview. The interview was never scheduled. A week later I received a rejection email.
