Consisted of 2 technical rounds and a culture fit round. Questions were pretty general, not specific to technology. While Rakuten claims to have a majority of English-speaking employees, it turns out this opening required Japanese language skills, so I faced rejection. It came as a surprise considering I cleared the first round despite clarifying that I have zero Japanese language skills. The overall experience was positive.
