I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Rakuten (Denver, CO) in Aug 2022
Interview
I was reached out to on LinkedIn by a recruiter and the role sounded really interesting to me and worked well with my background and goals. I met with 4 more team members and was told on a Friday I would hear back early the following week. The recruiter was in a contract that expired so I was passed onto another recruiter (in house) and he never gave me any feedback on whether they went with someone else or not. I sent thank yous via LinkedIn to the hiring managers and no one responded.
I was laid off a couple months ago and to be ghosted was pretty disappointing after the time I put into Rakuten after they reached out to me.
I do not recommended interviewing here unless they have fixed their communication.
