Human resources reached out via email and scheduled an in-person interview. I arrived 10 minutes early and must have waited a good 15 minutes past my interview appointment time because they were all disorganized and didn't know who I was meeting with. The receptionist did not have the personality one would need to be the greeter/first person you come in contact with when arriving. Her giant pocketbook was strewn all over the desk and her phone was clearly out where she was texting and listening to music. Had I accidentally stepped into Walmart - or was this RALPH LAUREN??? The actual interview was very superficial and shortwinded. Afterward I was led to the Human Resources department to fill out yet another application on a clipboard ( as if I was applying to be a fryer at McDonald's) in a dingy, outdated environment amongst a group of women who were too busy having their own personal conversations than to direct me as to what to do next. I've never seen a more unprofessional environment. Everything felt stagnant and stale - from the employees to the office decor. I couldn't leave quickly enough. I'm shocked that Ralph Lauren's good name is attached to anything related to this workspace. I'm sure there are wonderful people there, but this review is solely based on my first impression. Needless to say, I received an offer elsewhere and jumped on it. This interview drastically changed my perspective of RL.
