It wasn’t even an interview. The “interviewer” just spent 15 minutes telling me about the role then let me speak about my experience. Before I could finish she cut me off to start talking again. This isn’t the first time I’ve had a palm colored woman cut me off. She didn’t ask me a single question. It’s like she saw me on camera and immediately didn’t try to interview me. I’ve done recruiting for 7+ years and I can tell when you’re an automatic no and the body language of a poor interviewer and she gave it off. It’s so discouraging but not unexpected from a white dominated organization. They have DEI roles open and I’m wondering if they even believe in DEI initiatives or even know what DEI stands for! Even if I receive an offer, which I highly doubt I would, I’d say no to save myself the trauma of working with such vie people.
