The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Raymond James Financial (Atlanta, GA) in Dec 2011
Interview
Had an initial phone interview with the Sr. Analyst and asked me to complete a brief overview of a company. After I submitted my analysis I had another conversation with the Sr. Analyst. After that I was asked to come into the office to meet with the Sr. Analyst and two Associate's. The questions were mostly centered around my interest in the markets. The conversation quickly turned to my knowledge of technicals (ROE v. Operating Margin; how to compute depreciation, definitions and usage of key multiples EBITDA, EV/EBITDA, etc.)
Overall, the interview was fairly laid back and really just wanted to see if i had a strong interest in the stock market and if I knew some fairly basic accounting and valuation principles.
I interviewed at Raymond James Financial (Chicago, IL)
Interview
First round was with HR, second with the COO of ER, third with the senior analyst and two associates. A couple technicals in second round and stock pitch, more behavioral / fit seeking process overall.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Raymond James Financial (Tampa, FL) in Sep 2025
Interview
Flew out 12 candidates to give 2-3 offers. Treated us well but rubbed me the wrong way. Questions were entirely behavioral and vibes-based. Only had one technical question and one stock pitch.
The interview was relatively chill; I had networked with a couple of associates beforehand, and they were the ones who interviewed me in the process. First round was HR, second was associates, while third round was the head of research
