The company expects a lot out of the candidate. The barrier to entry was thick.
I was given a take-home, which took me 10 hours to complete total. The turnaround was quick and they got back to me with next steps for a longer tech interview. The interviewer expected me to be familiar with specific frameworks and write code that worked in the interview. I had failed because I was not intimate with their frameworks. Be wary of the role and check in with all the qualifications before continuing the interview process.
Overall, I got the vibe that the work culture was very focused on coding and delivering seamlessly. Managers are expected to code on a regular basis. I thought the coding assignment was a bit enjoyable, it was a lot of work. Real should reevaluate their heavy take-home screen and over the bar, tech screen process, this might deter great engineers from applying or moving forward.
