A couple of days before Christmas at around 11 PM, I received a calendar invite from someone on the HR team to interview the next morning. I said I'd love to chat, but would just want to make sure we're aligned on salary first & asked what the target range was. I live in a state that has passed a pay transparency law, so it's required that the salary be disclosed when advertising the job. I never heard anything back before the interview time came and went. A week later I got another calendar invite to interview, but still no salary range. I followed up again and finally received it. I decided to go ahead and interview. The interviewer asked a few questions about my background, then asked me if I had any questions for her. I asked her if the Social Media Manager would be managing both the brokers' accounts and the company's accounts. She said she would follow up with the hiring manager and let me know. She never followed up with me, and I instead received a generic rejection email saying they were pursuing candidates whose qualifications better matched their needs.
