I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Regeneron
Interview
There were 2 rounds of phone interviews. The first was by HR and was strictly behavioral. They asked general background information and stereotypical interview questions that exhibit your character. The second interview was a conference call with 2 people within the department. This interview was more about experience and how you and your skills could fit into the department. They did ask 2 very basic technical questions.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Regeneron (Rensselaer, NY) in Oct 2014
Interview
Emailed my resume and cover letter to their University Recruiter. She responded the next day to set up a phone interview. The phone interview was really quick and easy - she just asked about my work experience and told me about what the job entailed. She ended by setting up a second phone interview for me with a senior manager. That interview happened two days later. He asked about what I would bring to the intern project and how my work and school experience would help me succeed. The next day I got an offer.
Basically just make sure you're friendly and show a willingness to learn and you're golden. You can always learn what you need to do, but Regeneron is all about its employees fitting in with their culture.
