Interview process was incredibly disorganized which isn’t surprising based on employee reviews. It took 3-4 weeks after applying to hear back for an initial screen. That was passed and I was asked to meet with two leaders that I would potentially support. That went well and I was informed I would be moving to the next round with an executive. I was also requested to provide 3 references. Right before the interview was to take place, I was informed that the role might be put on hold due to not having the budget for it. I’m not sure why they would interview candidates with no budget. The recruiter seemed to be giving me the run around as the hiring manager had no additional information and neither did their HR team. I was then ghosted by the recruiter which is highly unprofessional especially when asked for references. I would recommend not providing any references until all interviews are complete.
