I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Revolut (Tokyo) in Mar 2021
Interview
- Initial 30 min interview with HR. The usual questions on background and motivation for applying. Pretty casual.
- Data analysis take home task. This comprised of 2 sections:
1) analysing a rather chunky database on excel, to come up with hypotheses and conclusions to a question. Doesn’t require anything beyond basic excel but time consuming (>5 hours).
2) some questions on SQL. This was optional.
- 2nd round interview. Two back to back interviews with Operations managers. Past experience, skills, motivation to reply. Nothing overly technical.
- 3rd round interview - Problem solving interview with Operations manager from Australia. Was required to present a problem from previous job and how I solved it. Second half was coming up with solutions to a problem Revolut faced. Similar to a case study interview.
4th/ final round interview - with senior operations manager. More fit bases with focus on teamwork, relationship with former manager etc.

Question 1
What was a problem you had before and how did you solve it?
Long. Pre-screening, aptitude test, gmat sort of test, problem solving, case, bar raiser. I had a bad experience. Not because the interviews very difficult, but the attitude was rude, they were mean, arrive late to the calls. If that is the interview...how is the working culture day by day?

Interview
Talent team reached out. Screening call arranged with the screener. 1 hour interview conducted. Result was shared couple of days later. Asked for feedback and received. Eventhough it was not accurate or made any sense.
The interview process consists of four rounds: an HR screening, a criteria-based assessment test, an interview with the Line Manager, and a final discussion with the Team Lead, all for a London-based role.
