Received a onboarding brochure. it could do with a little more proofreading and an eye from the marketing department as the branding was a little off and mid-aligned but overall explained the process quite well .
First interview was really good and easy to organise. I was being considered for two different roles . After telling me I appeared to be the ideal candidate and may be proceeding to a second interview, I received an email saying that they wouldn’t be considering me further because they changed the salary band.
I asked to still be considered for either role even though they changed the band mid process.
However I was then sent a problem- solving UCAT assessment which said I scored 80% but was told I did not reach their benchmarks, and they would not be considering my application further. The test was mostly mathematical and not really relevant to the role apart from trying to box people into categories.
I was told that “company policy” would not allow them to consider me for either role and not for another six months. This was rather dismissive.
As a high-calibre candidate with extensive qualifications and experience, this interview process leaves feeling that they have too many applications to get through - that they do not see people as people, but quick targets to hire and fire and need a way to quickly assess people as numbers - people are not numbers.
People are wide-ranging in their skill sets and abilities. I am not surprised to see negative reviews on glass door having had this very small experience during on boarding. I would imagine that they struggle to meet KPIs with wrong people in the wrong roles, if this is their hiring process.
I would be reluctant to consider working there after such a dismissive negative experience.
