I applied through other source. I interviewed at Revolut (London, England)
Interview
Easy interview overall - But interviewer himself doesn't seem to know anything about algo trading... overall okay experience but takes very long time. Not sure who they look for and a little bit disorganised
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Revolut in Apr 2025
Interview
Process consisted of a first round interview with recruiter, discussing “most complex project you have completed in work”. If successful next step is to complete an online SHL skills assessment. Again if successful next step is a problem solving round, for which there will be a prep call before you complete the problem solving (PS) round.
Overall I feel like Revolut wasted my time. First round was basic and went well. Skills assessment was pretty easy, told I placed in top 98th percentile. The PS round was a generic consulting style interview with a question on optimising a hiring process. The interviewer was someone from a team I was told I would never work with. Found it difficult to judge how the PS round went as I had not completed any consulting style interviews before coming from a quant/trading background but I got an automated email saying I was unsuccessful and my application was no longer being considered. Prior to the PS round the recruiter said they would be in touch after the PS round. No contact from the recruiter after a week so I followed up with an email asking for some feedback. Another week passed and I got no reply so I followed up again only to receive an email from the recruiter saying I was unsuccessful in the process and they could not provide me with any feedback. Given Revolut suggest 10+ hours of prep for the PS round alone, not providing any feedback at all to candidates upon completion is frustrating. To be rejected from an algo trader role based on a consulting style PS round on a HR topic is another point in itself.
