I applied online. I interviewed at Reynolds and Reynolds in Aug 2022
Interview
I received an email to complete their 2 hour online assessment, and was given a 48 hour time window after receiving the email to complete the assignment. Shortly after completing the test, I received an auto rejection email. I normally don't write reviews, but I don't want others to waste their time, and candidly, maybe a little bitterness over my own time being wasted.
It's a ridiculous assessment, and I honestly don't understand how any company uses something like this, because this isn't the first time I've encountered a "test" like this. This unnecessarily long test contains questions about sequential alphabetical patterns, shape patterns, and mathematical word problems that I would liken to something in a middle school math textbook. A ridiculous amount of questions compared to the amount of time they allot, not that I believe this assessment deserved to take up any more time than it already does.
An inordinate amount of questions about nonsensical topics; one question asked me where Princess Diana died. If a Reynolds and Reynolds associate would like to explain to me what the Princess of Wales has to do with Software Engineering, I would love to hear it.

Interview
First there was a interview with HR about basic background: past jobs, why you chose your major, clubs/extracirriculars, strengths & weaknesses. Then a interview with the manager who asked technical questions (arrays, BST, stack, queue). Then a final in-person interview about 2 hours where current software devlopers asked about your projects and then other reated technical questions with some behaivoral.

Interview
I took the online personality/aptitude test and received an invitation to a phone interview. The recruiter was nice and explained the next steps to me, telling me that the next step was for the director to review me. Later, I received an email telling me I was not chosen to continue in the process.
