      Lead Product Designer Interview

      Apr 26, 2022
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Ripple in Apr 2022

      Interview

The opportunity was reached out by a recruiter so I had an initial conversation that is not part of the Ripple interview. After that, here are the interactions with Ripple: - 30 mins HR - 45 mins hiring manager - 60 mins portfolio presentation - 30 mins x 4 1:1s with cross-functional teams - 45 mins design challenge with 3 teammates - 30 mins x 3 1:1s with the leadership team - 30 mins with HR on the verbal offer letter

      Question 1

Of all the companies I interviewed with at the same time, Ripple's interview process was the longest but the communication was very smooth and the team moved very fast in each stage of the interview so the experience was surprisingly great. I don't think the interviews were difficult but I do think the team genuinely cares about the culture and wants to know about the candidate thoroughly before giving the offer. It could feel impatient if you are talking to many other companies but I found the process is pretty revealing in terms of knowing the company offerings and company/team culture.
