Interview process was quick with three interviews and an assignment.
Hiring manager interview was fine but the next two folks I chatted with was not prepared with questions and did not even look at my assignment ahead of time despite confirming that it was shared with them. I spent 10 minutes walking one of them through the project because he was convinced the hiring manager wasn't looking for someone who can cover trade shows but 2 parts of the 3 sectioned assignment was around conferences....Clearly there was a disconnect already on what type of candidate skill set they were looking for. Panelist wasn't sure what the hiring criteria was so that made the conversation messy.
Post process I was told that they wanted to go with another candidate that shared examples of varying campaigns. Hardest part to accept was that the questions asked of me circled around a specific type so I only gave examples related and wasnt given enough time to dive deeper....
Worst of all, two and a half weeks after my results came out, one of the interviewers requested access to my assignment. Why would you need access to it after rejecting a candidate? Disappointing they wanted to see my work after rejecting me and didn't bother reviewing it before our interview. I refuse to give out free work so I had changed the link from public to private.
