Internal recruiter reached out to me via LI. Waxed poetic about how great of a fit I'd be, and so forth.
They propped themselves up a fair bit, mentioning solid backers, located in SF, interesting projects, having been in business for 10 years, etc...
Their key question was whether I'd relocate back to the West Coast, post-Covid. I was not too warm on the idea, considering I just moved out of the Bay Area last year. I told them it'd take a "perfect" package from them for me to uproot myself.
In the end, they decided I was too rich for their blood. So they sent me a corporate brushoff note. Complete with the typical platitudes.
Trying to lure a candidate to your area, with equity from a 10-year-old private company, doesn't seem to be a winning bet.
