Since I was living in India, I had a telephonic interview with my advisor and his PhD student. Lasted for about an hour. I had to prepare and send them my CV in a short presentation format. For the first 30-40 mins they asked me explain my involvement in all the projects which was followed by counter-intuitive questions. Later half they described a few of their projects and asked me about my insights into those topics.
