I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Robert Half (Los Angeles, CA)
Interview
They were rude and condescending from the get go. The tone in which the questions were asked was extremely dismissive, and my answers to legitimate questions were almost scoffed at. I had been referred for two recruiting divisions (legal and another one), and the interviewer, who was on the legal recruiting team, acted as if I had no idea what I was talking about. He then had another woman who was on the legal recruiting team come in to interview me, and she was much friendlier and less condescending and told me they would like me to come back in and interview with one of their colleagues the next day. After I sent my thank you email and mentioned I would love to meet with said colleague, the woman responded back saying "Unfortunately tomorrow is not a good day for my colleague, to meet with you. Perhaps you can follow up with us when you return from your trip out of town." It's pretty clear they didn't want to continue talking with me, and at this stage the professional thing to do would be to apologize and say they don't think it's a fit, not to retract the day they suggested for me to come in and then tell me to follow up with them as if that's on me and not the interview team.
I don't ever leave Glassdoor reviews, but have been meaning to leave this one for months because it left such a bad taste in my mouth I honestly felt a responsibility to tell others about it.
For the record, I had been told by everyone before interviewing that Robert Half is garbage but I didn't listen - believe the rumors!

Question 1
Why do you want this job / why do you want to do recruiting? (I was coming from a talent management job in the entertainment industry so it was somewhat of a career shift)
I had quite a few shorter conversations where I got to learn about different teams and practice groups. There was a ton of transparency in the process and I felt like I really got to know the company.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Robert Half in Dec 2025
Interview
Had an initial call with a recruiter, she seemed brand new. Had another call with a Account Manager. Have followed up for the past 2 weeks with ZERO response. I would expect something, it doesn't matter if you're not moving forward not responding at all is unprofessional. I don't know if this is how they deal with clients but very unprofessional. Don't waste your time.
