The typical interview process, COVID protocol ie. web-based interview. Web-based or telephone makes no difference to me if you listen as well as you observe. I'm a former Recruiter/HR Manager, hire to fire, myself; interviews to me have never been a power play but an honest conversation. This affects people of The Law and their EEOC ruts. My interviewer, a woman of color, her name would lead me to believe of Muslim faith but I've always failed those fun little web-based "How well do you know your Asian?" quizzes. However, she was most interested in learning about my employment working for people of Hindu and Muslim faith, so go figure. In the end, she led me to believe I was hired; she took 2 hours of my time to have me complete their new hire paperwork, I read the disclosures for many reasons; and, in the end, she tells me in writing that "I am unemployable." I escalated it to her branch manager who was equally as "rude" as he would call me and I remain unemployed even though they had 4 viable temporary prospects of which I could have earned at least 1 week's worth of pay. This the response from two employees of a group of commonly owned firms that have a domestic and international base; and, I am unemployable? But, they get a thumbs up because at least they told me. I've been working on and off with Robert Half and Accountemps since 2012 as their employee and since probably 2001 as an employer in need of their services. Our argument continues even though I give them a kudo for being honest and brave where others have most certainly failed or turned tail to run. I found their office searching my resume online at social networks such as Indeed; they have yet to reply to my inquiry regarding their reasons for needing my updated resume which they requested through Indeed on 1/3/22 and to which promptly replied. Many opportunities in staffing and recruiting, however after 24 years of working within and requesting the assistance of outsourced 3rd party Human Resource firms, the best advice I can give you is to stay true to yourself and never give up on yourself; they will, they are the parents of demand fed babies and often well trained in sales but not work-life balance to lead good relationship building themselves.
