I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Rokt (New York, NY) in Sep 2024
Interview
Applied online, spoke with a recruiter about the role and my experience. Was set up for an online coding assessment with someone on their team and during the interview he yawned a couple times which was rude. I asked him several questions regarding clarifications on the coding assessment and the interviewers attention was elsewhere as he just kept saying "Sorry I wasn't paying attention, can you repeat that" (this was repeated for several other questions). I completed the coding assessment with a correct and working solution with some tests but then when I followed up they said they were moving with other candidates, with no feedback as to why aside from the basic boilerplate one you see everywhere else. Completely unprofessional and I would tell people to steer clear from this company and not waste their time.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Rokt (Sydney) in May 2023
Interview
I had someone refer me for a job at Rokt and received a message from the recruiter to schedule a phone call. During the call, the recruiter mentioned that the first step would be an assessment with 50 questions to be completed in 15 minutes. Initially, I wasn't too worried, as it was an aptitude test, mostly consisting of math and IQ-like questions, such as selecting patterns and completing sequences. However, I felt that the test was discriminatory. Although I do not have any diagnosed learning disabilities, as a foreigner, completing the sentences section was difficult for me due to the uncommon vocabulary and limited time. In the end, I was only able to complete 23 questions. It has been over three weeks, and I have not received any feedback from the recruiter, who has been unresponsive and has ghosted me. Today, the person who referred me for the job messaged me on LinkedIn to inform me that I failed the aptitude test. Overall, it was a strange and unpleasant experience, and I feel it was a big red flag. 🔴
