I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Rolls-Royce (Derby, England) in Jan 2020
Interview
Initially, we had an application to do which was pretty straightforward. Then after successful completion, you had an online test and a textmessage-based situational test. During the latter, they ask you to complete a code based shape game. You are supposed to find the numbers corresponding to the specific shape and place the right shapes depending on the number they have given you. If successful, they invite you to an assessment centre. The assessment centre consists of 3 parts.
Initially, you have to do a 5 minute presentation on why you want to join rolls-royce and your preferred programme, what are the external factors affecting the company and the areas they need to concentrate on to improve. It was okay. During this process, they ask you some competency questions. Just be confident and take your time to think. Ask them whether you can take a moment to think or rephrase the question. The next stage is 'Application of knowledge' interview. Here, they give you some graphs and images and ask you to explain what it does as well. This is the hardest part of the interview. The only advice I can give you is to think out loud rather than keeping quiet and thinking about it.
Then, we had a group task to do to code a robot to go over a bridge. We had to make a bridge using the resources that were given. We were given 10,000 GBP to spend. Make sure you work with the team effectively and give opportunities for others to speak. Also, have one person looking at the time.
