      Web Applications Developer Interview

      Anonymous employee
      Seattle, WA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied in-person. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Rosetta Stone (Seattle, WA) in Oct 2012

      Interview

I spent about 4 hours, interviewing (separately) a few other software developers, the product manager, and HR/Recruiting manager. Developers and I chatted about various software topics, and did a bit of whiteboarding. The product manager and I discussed product design, UI/UX ideas, and how software products fit into the current market. The recruiting manager talked about the interview/candidate search process itself.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

As I recall, one of the topics we covered was how to approach a simple, fundamental string processing operation, adding a few complications as solutions were offered.
