      Marketing Specialist Interview

      Oct 3, 2018
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Seattle, WA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Rover.com (Seattle, WA)

      Interview

I originally applied online and was contacted by a recruiter the next day to schedule a phone screen. However, the phone screen wasn't with a recruiter, but with a program manager (not hiring manager). The first phone screen went well, but was long (45 min+). Primarily behavioral questions, which I found a bit odd for an initial phone screen. The next interview was scheduled promptly after the first, and this was with the hiring manager. The second phone screen was long as well, and were mostly technical and strategy questions. I found it odd that there was such a huge emphasis on strategy, as this was advertised as a somewhat entry level position. It seems like the job posting vs. what they are actually interviewing for are completely different. Overall, thought the second interview went well, however I followed up a few days later and was sent a canned rejection.
