      Director Interview

      Interview

I wish I had paid more attention to previous reviews warning about this company's interview process and listened to my gut. They are fishing for free consulting under the guise of hiring. Once you reach the case study phase, you’ll be asked to develop an extensively detailed 18 month strategic plan that is expected to take one week to finalize—an unreasonable ask for an unpaid interview process. The interview process requires a significant investment of time, totaling 14+ hours: HR Screener: 30 minutes Hiring Manager Call: 30 minutes Peer Interview 1: 30 minutes Peer Interview 2: 30 minutes Case Study Development: 10+ hours Case Study Prep Call: 30 minutes Case Study Panel Presentation: 45 minutes Rejection Feedback Call: 15 minutes It was clear the hiring manager has seen many of these case study panels. The next day you’ll receive a rejection and an offer to schedule a call with HR to discuss feedback for 15 minutes. The feedback I received was overwhelmingly positive, with HR stating that they want to "keep me on the list for future opportunities". Take notice of additional red flags: —There are multiple reviews citing the same concern —The majority of candidates below report a “No Offer” outcome —Despite receiving similar feedback for months, the company continues using a generic response rather than improving its hiring process —Most employee reviews come from providers and therapists rather than internal corporate staff, making it difficult to assess the true work environment Having been on the hiring side myself, I find this approach highly unprofessional and exploitative. A company in the mental healthcare space should hold itself to a higher ethical standard. If you value your time and expertise, look elsewhere.

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Rula in May 2025

      Interview

Recruiter reached out via email. Had a screening call then meeting with hiring manager. Followed with a peer interview then an interview with the CFO. After those 3 was sent a case study where they expected 5+ hours of work to be put in which was very sketchy and I now see that this is common at this company. I did the presentation and they expected all of their problems to be solved in this. CFO specifically kept asking for more information even though I had spent less than 30 min with each team member previously. Typically when I interviewed people in the past you try to understand how they solve problems and how their mind operates but it seemed as though they just wanted unpaid labor to give them good ideas. They also keep your presentation and ask that you email them in advance. I made sure to focus my content on the specifics and keep the presentation high level since I read some prior reviews and felt uneasy sharing all my information.

      Interview

I got played by this company's recruitment scam. Their interview process is nothing more than an attempt to squeeze free labor out of job candidates. They drag you through multiple interviews that eat up hours of your life, without any disregard or appreciation for people's time. Then the bulk of that time is spent creating an insanely detailed 18-month strategic plan, they specifically ask for it to be very detailed, that is expected to take you a week to create. Basically asking for free work, which always ends in the excuse that they are not giving out an offer to anyone as they are being "very picky." See other reviews here, its happened to multiple people. Red flags everywhere. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere.

      Interview

Unfortunately, this company is exploiting interview candidates for free work. They're asking for extremely detailed strategic plans that are expected to take a week to complete. Uncompensated. The best part? An Amazon style panel interview where they silently read your work and add comments. How original. Save your time. Save your dignity. And definitely save your strategic insights.
