I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Rural Metro (Syracuse, NY) in Jan 2014
Interview
The interview was great very detailed and friendly staff only issue I had was that overtime was mentioned and I have been there foe a month and have not even heard a peep about working overtime which was the main selling point for me to take this position. The hiring process was horrendous it took them over a month to schedule me for a my drug test and background check and when I got a call back I almost did not get the job because I had to give my current employer 2 weeks notice and the lack of communication is very frustrating I forfeited 120 hours of vacation time from my previous employer because I did not give 30 days notice because R/M wanted me to start ASAP their company they out source to do urine screens is very in accurate they sent a report to HR stating I came up positive before I even took a drug test.
