I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at SAM Companies (Austin, TX) in Apr 2022
Interview
This was over 4 years ago: I was interviewed over the phone first by a hiring specialist, then in person by four Project Managers. I thought it went well. They showed me around the office and had me sit in with 2 technicians (on different teams) and had them walk through what the work day looks like. I was then introduced to a senior officer (of that department at the time). Sadly, I got the feeling that fella didn't approve of me. I got a call from the hiring specialist saying they went with someone else and asked if I'd be interested in another job in another department. I said sure, I interviewed and then got radio silence for 3 years. I continued to apply occasionally for a year just to renew my interest in the position but, nothing. THEN- I got an unexpected call and job offer from one of the people who remembered me from all that time ago who was building thier team. -And here I am!

What do you like to do in your free time? Do you have any experience in Microstation? (its ok to not have experience, its an uncommon program) How do you think your experience will translate to this position? (think real hard about this answer) Are you comfortable using keypads and making your own keymaps? (Gamers will have this one in the bag) Do you know how to execute Marcos or create customizable tools? How do you feel about overtime? (NOTE* if you don't like OT this may not be the best job for you. Be honest in your answer, they'd want you to work 45-50)
