Interview process was not unusual except it was overly drawn out. Interview with an HR person (waste of time--merely a formality), interview with hiring manager, come in for interviews (again with hiring manager), do another interview with hiring manager, do another phone interview with hiring manager, do five more phone interviews. The job description was very long and that turned out to be because they didn't really know what they wanted in the role. In the end, literally two months went by where I never got an answer one way or the other from either the hiring manager or the HR person, despite emailing both asking for an update. After three months I got a form email saying the role has been filled. This does not jibe with Concur's stated culture of respect for the individual and team spirit. After putting in this amount of time and the many hours research it is wholly inconsiderate to not give a simple answer of, "You were great but we're going a different direction." Highly unprofessional of the hiring manager and HR.
