The position was initially advertised as ABAP on HANA with OOPS. After sending resume, SAP recruiter requested to upload resume on portal. But after that we never heard back for 1 month. Later another recruitment agency was hired for same position and this time position was described as ABAP on HANA with Fiori/UI5. Candidates were told if shortlisted, interview would be scheduled on 31st March. This did not happen. Later I was invited for an interview on 14th April. My interview was scheduled on 14th by recruitment agency and this was confirmed by SAP HR.
During the interview I was told that the role is ABAP + functional. After two rounds of interview, I was requested to leave for the day. After another 2 hours, I saw call made from SAP Mumbai office to my cell. I called back but the call went to central number on reception and the person over there told he would inform HR about call made by them and ask them to get in touch with me.
I infomed recruitment agency about this and they further called SAP HR. SAP HR informed them that they had called me as two more rounds of interviews were pending. I was requested to come back , which I did. Upon reaching their office again, I met HR. To my surprise, HR told me that they never called me!!!
I told them that I have received a call from office and you informed the recruitment agency about this. They flatly denied making call to me or knowing the person from agency who coordinated my interview. When I showed the call log in my cell showing I had received call from SAP Labs mumbai office, they were still in denial mode that the call was made and repeating that they did not anyone from that recruitment agency (which makes no sense as they had scheduled and taken my interview in the morning which was scheduled by this recruitment agency).
This is highly unprofessional ( in fact the most unprofessional interview I have ever attended). How can someone representing such a big company flatly deny call made from office landline to candidate and deny knowing recruitment agency person with whom they worked to schedule the interviews for the day?
It is not only me but the recruitment agency as well who are in shock at this attitude and behaviour from SAP HR.
Truly disappointed.
