Exhausting multiple interviews: HR, hiring manager, hiring manager's manager, hiring manager's peer, then VP. I was asked to write a software for SAP product, write business development plan, make a selling presentation, develop and present a business case for new SAP customer. It took tons of time and energy. Then they tell you that you are very good, but they have hired someone else, who was applying 8 times for previous 7 years and I was applying only 3. Fine! At the same time, salaries are not that fantastic. Next year they come again to me and ask if I want to try one more time. Thank you very much.

After completing an online application and submitting a resume and cover letter I received an email notifying me of making it to the next round of interviews and setting up a time for a quick phone call. This phone call was to discuss availability, the job description, and a couple simple questions. Then I was asked to perform a second phone call interview with the group manager where we discussed the job, what I was passionate about technology wise, and what I could bring to the group. Finally I was asked to come in to do back to back interviews with 4 interviewers (in sets of 2) where we dove into what SAP is and how I aligned with the bigger values as well as what I could offer to the team. Going through schooling, extra curricular, and individual projects the interview covered not only what I could bring but also touched on what the job would be able to offer me.
